5/18/21 Process Center requires face covering for unvaccinated users. We understand that some individuals will continue to mask up regardless of vaccination status, so our vaccinated staff will mask up when interacting with masked users.
5/3/21 All drop sites are now able to accept batteries, magazines, catalogs, books and film plastic again. You may continue to bring your items to the Process Center (especially large amounts) as well.
5/29/20: The SWMD Process Center is open regular hours with these safety restrictions in place: 1) Face covering required 2) Follow traffic pattern to stop sign and stay in car 3) Wait your turn for attendant directions before unloading 4) Stay 6 feet away from others 5) Unload your own items. No exceptions! 6) Large loads of dumpster items will be referred to local landfills! You may call to see if there are other options for your items.
5/7/20: All 8 residential recycling and trash sites remain open regular hours with the same restrictions they have had: (no items handed to attendant, self pay bucket, no sign ins, talk to attendant through window only)
4/1/20 Until further notice at all residential drop sites: Please bring correct change for your bags of trash each time you visit a site. Change will not be given on site. Bags continue to be $1.50 each.
Until further notice all 8 recycling and trash sites are open regular hours with safety measures in place.
We are choosing not to remove services or items from our Waste Wizard since this is temporary in nature. Thank you for your understanding.
The Dubois County Solid Waste Management District strives to provide quality services to residents of Dubois County, Indiana through recycling and proper disposal of waste.
The Dubois County Solid Waste Management District’s Process Center accepts many items not accepted at the county recycling sites. Items include: TVs, computers, e-waste and small appliances, fluorescent bulbs, paint, household hazardous waste (HHW), flammables, used cooking oil, scrap metals, large items such as couches and mattresses. Most items require a fee from $.25 to $20. The Center is available for use by Dubois County residents, agencies, organizations and small businesses. Residents are responsible for unloading items brought to the Process Center.

The Process Center public hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm. As a county office, we do observe all county holidays and closures. Please check our Facebook page for upcoming closings.
We offer once a month Saturday hours March through November for residents who cannot use our daily hours. 2021 Saturday Hours
1103 S. 350 W., Jasper. Turn west at the SR 231/162 intersection and follow signs.
Detailed directions: Follow 100 W. to the T and turn south (left). Stay on Old Huntingburg Rd. until the four way stop and turn north (right) onto 350 W. The office and process center are located on the west (left) side of the road within 1/4 mile.
