Safe Sleep
The Safe Sleep Collaborative is funded by the Indiana State Department of Maternal and Child Health. The Indiana State Department of Health has established partnerships with agencies in Indiana to provide safe sleep education and recommendations, a portable pack n play, fitted sheet and wearable blanket for families who do not have a safe place for their baby to sleep. Infants sleep safest alone, on their backs and in a crib…the ABC’s of safe sleep. Our goal is to reduce infant mortality in the state of Indiana.
Dubois County Health Department is designated as a safe sleep distribution site for Dubois and surrounding counties. Parents must meet certain criteria to receive a Pack n play and baby must be under one year of age. In certain instances a caregiver may participate in this program depending on the need.
