Dubois County Solid Waste Management District

The Dubois County Solid Waste Management District strives to provide quality services to residents of Dubois County, Indiana through recycling and proper disposal of waste at our process center, annual and bi-annual collection events, community education, and a junk control program.

Process Center

The Dubois County Solid Waste Management District’s Process Center accepts many items not accepted at the county recycling sites. Items include: TVs, computers, e-waste and small appliances, fluorescent bulbs, paint, household hazardous waste (HHW), flammables, used cooking oil, scrap metals, large items such as couches and mattresses. Most items require a fee from $.25 to $10. Please see below for estimated prices. The Center is available for use by Dubois County residents, agencies, organizations and small businesses.  Residents are responsible for unloading items brought to the Process Center.

Estimated prices- subject to change

TVs: TVs: $5, console/XL $10

Computers/monitors: $1 ea.

E-waste and small appliances: $1 to $3

Fluorescent bulbs: .25 to $1 ea.    Paint: $2 gal.

Household hazardous waste (HHW), $1-$5 Flammables: per gallon price, ask

Furniture, Grills, Bikes, etc.: $2 to $10 ea.

Roofing, tar, asphalt items: $10 per 5 gal. container

Tires: car/light truck- $2, 18-24”- $8, farm/tractor- $25. Any tire on the rim, add $2.

Used cooking oil- free

The Process Center accepts items on weekdays only, usually Monday to Friday from 8 to 1, although occasionally other duties require us to adjust those hours. Please call for details.


1103 S. 350 W., Jasper. Turn west at the SR 231/162 intersection and follow signs.

Detailed directions: Follow 100 W. to the T and turn south (left). Stay on Old Huntingburg Rd. until the four way stop and turn north (right) onto 350 W. The office and process center are located on the west (left) side of the road within mile.

Dubois County Sanitation Department

The Sanitation Department includes a truck driver and eight recycling center attendants.  The recycling centers are located at Jasper, Huntingburg, Ireland, Pine Ridge, Dubois, Ferdinand, Haysville and Holland.  The truck driver and site attendants work together to provide a service for collecting household trash and recyclables.
